Yei ex-seminarians on Saturday celebrated the feast of Saint Augustine, the patron of Yei Catholic Diocese Minor Seminary.
Ex-seminarians chairman Jonas Anuar said they were celebrating the Day under the theme ‘celebrating unity towards the growth of the Catholic faith’, Easter Radio reported.
He said they formed Ex-seminarians Association for the purpose of embracing the spirit of unity and emulate St Augustine who was unhappy till he got his happiness from God.
Yei Catholic Diocese Secretary-General Fr Emmanuel Lodongo Sebit encouraged the ex-seminarians to focus and put into practice the theme of their celebration.
He pointed out that St Augustine did not understand the meaning of faith until he was 30 years old.
Fr Lodongo clarified that St Augustine did not surrender his life because he was a sinner, but fought to know God.
St Augustine Ex-seminarians Association was formed in 2012.
