Union of Journalists of South Sudan or UJOSS revealed plans to establish media Council in the country.
UJOSS chairman Oliver Modi said the media bills were before President Salva Kiir to be signed into law, Easter Radio reported.
He said once the bills become laws, the media council would be formed to regulate journalists’ and media houses’ operations.
Mr Modi acknowledged that media performance was well in the country.
He urged media practitioners to report professionally and responsibly.
The chairman echoed the remarks in Yei River County on Thursday.
