Juba College of Nursing and Midwifery on Thursday graduated 30 nurses and midwives.
The graduates were 13 nurses and 17 midwives, Bakhita Radio reported.
National Health minister Riek Gai Kok said the ministry will immediately deploy the graduates to health centres within Juba.
He said the population in Juba was too high and need proper services.
Mr Gai promised to deliver services to the people of Juba and South Sudan at large.
He said the graduation of the nurses and midwives was the first of its kind since the independence.
Mr Gai said the new graduates will work at Kator, Malakia and Munuki health centres.
Health is one of the major challenges South Sudan faces.
