Tonj South County in Warrap State on Wednesday concluded a two-week animals’ vaccination training.
Animals Vaccination Project Manager Kang Chol Kang said trainees carried out practical work by vaccinating animals at cattle camps, Don Bosco Radio reported.
He said the trainees were given necessary equipments and drugs for treating animals in their Payams and Bomas.
Mr Kang said they targeted 50 participants, but 49 of them including five ladies turned up for the training.
He said the trainees learned diseases, treatment, control and how to handle themselves and community dialogue.
The manger said the trainees are only not given vaccination equipments because vaccination used to be done in a group not individual basis.
Mr Kang urged Greater Tonj communities to report animals’ diseases to the trained community workers.
