65 percent of roads impassable across South Sudan

Heavy rains affected many parts of South Sudan with 65 percent of all roads completely impassable. 
 
The states worst affected by logistical constraints are Jonglei, Lakes, Northern Bahr El Ghazal, Unity, and Upper Nile, UNOCHA weekly bulletin reported. 
 
It said in Unity state seven of nine counties are inaccessible by road. 
 
In Warrap, inter-agency assessments found that floods affected over 17 thousand people in five counties. 
 
The bulletin explained that in Upper Nile State, partners found another two thousand flood-affected people in Maiwut County.
 
In Northern Aweil North County of Northern Bahr El Ghazal, an assessment found six thousand people affected, the bulletin said.
