Hundreds of angry mob at Lupapa residential area in Yei River County on Tuesday stoned to death a woman of poisoning her brother-in-law.
Mary Gamba poisoned her brother-in-law Michael Malish with a cup of coffee three weeks ago.
The mob accused the woman of placing under pans in the house of the late Malish pieces of burnt firewood used during the funeral and that she also performed wicked practices other than sympathizing with mourners.
The woman confessed she gave a cup of coffee to the late Malish in the absence of others.
Ronyi Sub-chief Beteria Modi urged the mob to consider legal procedures despite the uncontrollable anger portrayed leading to the stoning of the accused to death.
He added that taking the law into hands would lead to more crimes.
