Egyptian Foreign Minister visits Juba

Egyptian Foreign Affairs minister will visit Juba on Tuesday to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
 
Foreign Affairs Minister Barnaba Marial Benjamin told the press on Monday that his Egyptian counterpart will discuss with President Salva Kiir diplomatic issues, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
He said South Sudan and Egypt have strong relations.
 
Dr Marial encouraged the Egyptian Foreign Minister to exert more efforts to end the ongoing crisis in Cairo and bring peace to the country.
 
He disclosed that the Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemarriam invited President Kiir to attend the first anniversary prayer of the late Prime Minister Meles Zenawi.
 
Dr Marial said because of other duties in the country, the president delegated him to represent South Sudan in Ethiopia.
 
The ministerl disclosed that President Kiir and his Sudanese counterpart Omar el Bashir had a fruitful telephone discussion on the oil flow through Sudan to the world market.
 
Sudan earlier announced it will close down the oil pipeline on September 6.
