A cleric in Yei Catholic Diocese told Christians on Sunday that the way to holiness needs many efforts.
Christ the King Parish Priest Tom Poru Martin said one must first carry the cross of suffering in order to succeed, Easter Radio reported.
He said all people must struggle to reach to heaven in the same way they make efforts to succeed in life.
Fr Poru said there are blessings for every truthful suffering.
He pointed out that many Christians are not faithful to their vocations because they do not fulfil their baptismal promises and other religious obligations.
Fr Poru congratulated the congregation for turning up in good number for the Assumption Day celebration on Thursday.
He made the statement on Sunday at Christ the King Cathedral while presiding over the English mass.
