An American South Sudanese denied reports that South Sudan is a failed state.
Jonglei Peace Initiative chairperson Paul Mator Manyok on Saturday told CRN in Juba that they are working to bring peace to the country to remove it from failed states list.
He said last year they visited a number of people and talk to their leaders in order to maintain peace in Jonglei state.
Mr Mator said they came from America to help South Sudanese stay in peace.
He revealed that the Initiative plans to bring in socio-economic infrastructures including factories and hospitals to meet people’s basic needs.
South Sudan was labelled one of the failed states due to recurrent conflicts especially in Jonglei state.
