Western Bahr El Ghazal Governor revealed a plan to reduce its cabinet from 12 to eight ministries in compliance with the lean government policy due to austerity measures.
Rizik Zachariah Hassan while reopening the State Legislative Assembly on Tuesday said he would restructure ministries to reduce expenditure and deliver services, Voice of Hope reported.
He cited challenges facing his government including the December violence and austerity measures.
The Governor disclosed a plan to hold an investment forum in the state to attract investors all over the world.
Mr Zachariah explained that his government targeted to cultivate 30 hectors of land in response to the national policy of food security by 2014.
The Governor said he also planned to tarmac 40 kilometre-road connecting Wau town with state counties next year.
Mr Zachariah said his key objectives for the future include good governance, basic service delivery and food security.
