A Land cruiser carrying ten passengers from Yambio sunk in Luri River on Tuesday night killing one person.
One of the survivors Mohamed Hassan told Anisa Radio in a telephone interview that they left Yambio on Tuesday at 10 AM and reached at Luri River at night.
He explained while crossing the River the vehicle was washed by heavy waves’ water and Clement Peter Gbamu commonly known as Mette stood up, called for help but was too late and lost his life in the process.
Mr Hassan said the rest of the passengers were rescued and transported to Juba.
He urged the public to be wise and patient when they reach Luri River.
