National Health Ministry sends 25 medics to study abroad

The national Health Ministry is sending 25 medical officers abroad for further studies as part of capacity building.
 
Training Director-General in the Ministry Gabriel Daniel disclosed that they are sending five clinical officers for three-year masters’ course in integrated emergency surgery and obstetrics in Shainama University in Zambia, Voice of Hope reported.
 
He explained that in September the ministry will send ten nurses to study anaesthesia in Malawi.
 
Dr Daniel added that some ten clinical officers will go to Malawi to study integrated emergency surgery and obstetrics. 
 
She advised medical practitioners to learn to be friendly to their patients saying success in medicine depends on a doctor-patient relationship.
 
Dr Daniel said the Ministry last November sent 20 clinical officers and nurses for similar courses.
 
He explained that 15 nurses went to study Anaesthesia at Kijabi hospital in Kenya, three clinical officers and two nurses went to study integrated emergency surgery at Makele University in Ethiopia.
