The Catholic Bishop of Tombura-Yambio is encouraging citizens to plant more fruit-trees and other cash crops.

Edwardo Hiiboro Kussala told Anisa Radio on Tuesday that cash crops can help families pay their children’s school fees and other life demands.

He advised farmers to plant pineapple for both local consumption and surplus for export.

Bishop Hiiboro stated that fruits are necessary for a healthy body.

He condemned laziness because it destroys both the church and the government.

The bishop promised to pray for Western Equatoria and South Sudan to be hunger free state and nation.
