Inflation continues to drop

Both annual and monthly inflation rates continue to drop as bread and cereals are cheaper.
 
The National Bureau of Statistics said the annual inflation decreased by 11.1 percent between May 2012 and 2013.
 
By regions, annual prices were cheaper by 13.4 percent in Juba, 11.7 percent in Wau and more expensive by 3.8 percent in Malakal.
 
Between May and June 2013 prices went down 0.4 percent with a decrease of 4.2 percent in Wau, 2.9 percent in Juba and an increase of 6.6 percent in Malakal.
 
By sectors, between May and June2013, the price for health decreased by 34.8 percent, furnishing and household equipment is 5.2 percent cheaper and alcoholic drinks and tobacco went down by ten percent.
