President Kiir calls on speakers to work for accountability, service delivery

The President of Republic called on parliament speakers, governors and ministers to work hard to restore accountability and service delivery in the country.
 
President Salva Kiir Mayardit opened on Monday morning the sixth speakers’ forum in Juba, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
He said South Sudan needs development more than any other countries of the world.
 
He told participants that decentralization without cooperation, unity and dialogue between legislative and executive arms is not effective.
 
President Kiir called for unity among South Sudanese to achieve real development.
 
He invited South Sudanese to appreciate their diversity.
 
President Kiir warned that no development can be achieved with rampant corruption.
 
He urged the three arms of government to continue fighting corruption to the end.
 
Many speakers including the acting speaker of Council of States, Remy Oller, acknowledged that there are some disagreements between state legislatures and the executives.
 
Mr Oller said all arms of the government should work together for the states to function properly. 
The forum brought together speakers and deputes from the national legislature and state assemblies and Governors.
