Morobo County Commissioner appealed to people of Yei, Morobo and South Sudan to unite and work together with politicians as one to achieve development in the country.

Moses Simon Soro urged South Sudanese to unite and fight nepotism, segregation and tribalism, Easter Radio reported.

He said ‘we have come a long way, so let us work together to make Morobo great, Yei great, Central Equatoria great and South Sudan in general great.’

Yei River County Commissioner Juma David Augustine called on Christians to pray for the people of Jonglei state who in last three days resumed interethnic conflict.

He said South Sudan is not in peace and that people have to pray for peace to prevail in their hearts.

The two commissioners made the statements at Christ the King Cathedral in Yei on Sunday.
