Yei Civil Society Organizations Forum on Friday postponed reviewing and signing its constitution to the end of July.

The constitution has 18 articles and only eight were reviewed, Easter Radio reported.

Forum’s chairman Nicholas Sebit Philip promised to finish the review on July 31 and sign the Constitution.

Mr Sebit said the signing of the Yei Civil Society Organizations Forum Constitution gives the body a legal framework.

He added that the Forum faced many issues including the local chiefs’ arrest and the construction of the Yei-Lasu road.

He reiterated that the Yei-Lasu road works came to stand still without proper notification from the county or the state authorities.

Mr Sebit said security still remained a big obstacle in the county and police were still detaining people without registering them.

He called on the responsible members to follow some of the issues that stand still.
