AMDISS urges Kiir to sign Media Bills into law

A media group appealed to the President of the Republic to sign the three Media Bills passed by the parliament into law.
 
Association for Media Development in South Sudan or AMDISS also appealed to the government and its agents to respect the media laws and stop harassment and killing of media practitioners in a statement on Thursday.
 
It urged editors and managers to prepare their Journalists to follow the media laws while reporting and commenting.
 
AMDISS called on the journalists to respect their code of conduct and avoid getting into problem with the security.
 
The Association urged the public to implement the laws by giving journalists true information freely and without fear to ensure transparency in the country.
 
AMDISS is an advocacy and a media development institute founded in 2003 to address the information void and improve local Journalists capacity to respond to the crucial issues of human rights, good governance, freedom of expression and democracy.
