Citizens give mix reactions on Independence Day

Citizens of Juba gave mixed reactions on South Sudan’s second independence anniversary.
 
Riak Maker, a third year public administration student at Juba University said he had not seen anything done in two years of independence, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
He only appreciated South Sudanese because they liberated themselves from the bondage of slavery from the Arabs.
 
He warned that South Sudanese have a long way to go.
 
Acuil Chalou said there was some progress despite challenges.
 
He called on President Salva Kiir to give priority to education, health and infrastructure development.
 
Paulina Poni Jeremiah said the government should improve its records after rampant killings of innocent people in the last two years. 
 
International representatives, including four African heads of state, on Tuesday joined South Sudan to commemorate the second anniversary of it independence.
