SPLA-North forces ambushed and killed at least 26 government soldiers in South Kordofan.
SPLM-N spokesperson Arnu Ngutulu Lodi said 22 SAF soldiers were killed on Monday between Dilling and Sunjukai.
He said another four SAF soldiers were killed between Aldabker and Injemaina villages in Alsonut County.
Mr Ngutulu said one SPLA-N soldier was killed and three others wounded in the clashes.
He added that rebels captured two vehicles from the government forces.
Mr Ngutulu said SPLA-N seized one Korean-made jeep.
