United Nations Children Agency or UNICEF on Saturday started training 25 students from the University of Juba Colleges of Computer and Architecture on innovative solution design as part of Independence Day celebrations.
UNICEF Consultant for Development and Innovation Stuart Campo said UNICEF wanted to develop a laboratory to bring together young people and identify some of the challenges facing them, Bakhita Radio reported.
He said the 25 students will look at the key priorities of the young people in the country.
He added that the students will identify four major areas as top of the challenges of the country including education, security, health and employment.
Mr Campo said after developing the South Sudan Innovation Lab, UNICEF will continue to conduct regular training to people in Juba and other states of South Sudan.
He added that most of the students are from third year and UNICEF wants to engage them in innovative designs.
Mr Campo said the students will work together with the UNICEF team and sector specialists to identify a set priority for South Sudan.
