The decision made by Bahr El Ghazal University administration for students to pay tuition fees and cater for their feeding frustrated many students.
Dud Ngor, Fourth Year Economic Student, told Voice of Hope that the fees are higher than what the government was paying.
Mangok Peter Kui, Fourth Year Education Student, blamed the University administration for not involving student representatives in determining the fees.
He said most students are likely to dropout.
A Second Year Economic Student anonymously lamented that he will not be able to meet transport and feeding expenses.
Students pursuing bachelor degree in Education will pay 800 SSP, for economics 900 SSP, for medicine 1800, for Veterinary science 2000 and for public health 750 SSP.
The University administration disclosed that the Government never paid students’ tuition fee for almost three years.
Government sponsored students who completed their studies were also asked to pay their fees before processing their academic transcripts.
