EE Governor advises women to lead Buya Peace Initiative

Eastern Equatoria State governor called on women among the Buya community to take a lead in peace initiatives.
 
Louis Lobong Lojore said women’s peace initiatives could minimize cattle raiding and killing of innocent people in Budi County, Emmanuel Radio reported.
 
The governor advised women to desist from providing food, praising cattle rustlers and keeping guns used for crimes.
 
He also adds that young women should refuse marrying cattle raiders to avoid becoming widows at early age.
 
Mr Lobong pointed out that women encouraged insecurity by singing praise songs, hiding guns as well as feeding suspects after cattle raiding and killing innocent of people.
 
He encourages women to stop helping suspected cattle raiders so that Eastern Equatoria state realizes peace.  
 
Governor Lobong offered the advice on Saturday at Komou Boma.
