Financial crises are the source of delay for the reopening Bahr El Ghazal University.
Deputy Vice Chancellor Charles Ephganio Wani said the resumption depends on the availability of funds. He said national Finance ministry did not pay University’s operational money and its tuition fees of 2009 and 2010.
Prof Wani said the university was demanding the ministry to release the money but up to now the university received nothing to start its schedule.
He explained that the university exhausted its savings to transfer equipments from Khartoum on hope that the government would pay.
Prof Wani said the university faces critical situation due to lack of finance.
He called on all the students to remain patient and bear the situation.
