Community-based organizations in Torit, Eastern Equatoria on Saturday received a one-day community organization programme training.
Davidica Ikai, a member of financial committee for the group praised the turn up, saying it was an indicator of being responsible.She said the training was to prepare the civil society organizations to discuss issues affecting the community and plan for outreach activities.
Ms Ikai urged the organizations to handle some matters of the community instead of leaving everything to the government.
She called for cooperation among the organizations to help the communities during their outreach activities and other advocacy discussions with the government.
The training that attracted representatives of over 20 CBOs was organized by National Democratic Institute or NDI..
