Nationality and passport exercise started in Tonj South County of Warrap State on Monday, but wires burned and the whole operation came to a halt.
The head of nationality and passport team, Major Angelo Ater Yai, told Radio Don Bosco that the wires connecting the computers for producing Nationality and Passports documents burned.He said the wires burned because the generator was very strong.
Mr Yai said he will return to Kwajok headquarters to repair the cables and come back to Tonj to resume nationality and passports production.
HeÊ said his team will remain in Tonj to continue registering people who have their birth certificates until he returns from Kwajok.
Mr Yai urged the people of Tonj to be patient because every person will process nationality and passport documents soon.
He advised the people of Tonj South to come with their South Sudanese birth certificate and two photos in order to get their documents.
