The Eye Unit at Yei Civil hospital is carrying out a three-day eye screening and treatment in the county in collaboration with Martha Clinic.

Eye clinical officer George Lako Tamayo told Radio Easter that 179 patients from the Police, Prison and Wildlife forces were already treated.

Mr Lako said most common eye complications included cataract, glaucoma and allergies.

He added that cataract cases were referred for surgery.

Community Empowerment for Peace and Reconciliation supported the three-day eye screening and treatment camp.
