The Chairman of the National Constitutional Review Commission has ordered the five thematic sub-committees to immediately begin their work on the topics of assignment.
Akolda Man Tier ordered the judiciary, executive, legislature branches and other stakeholders to carry their duties diligently, Bakhita Radio reported.Professor Man reminded the civic education campaign committees to start enlightening people on the national Constitution as soon as funds are made available.
The commission endorsed the updated National Constitutional Review Commission Action Plan presented by the Secretariat in coordination with Civic Education sub-committee.
It also endorsed the on-going arrangement for holding a ceremony on April 30, for the handover the newly constructed National Constitutional Review Commission premises by the USAID.
The national parliament extended the commission’s mandate for two years to complete its activities and propose a Permanent Constitution of South Sudan.
