Pneumonia and other respiratory diseases are infecting the local population in Nuba Mountains and since January more than 100 cases were reported.
Clinical Officer Yusif El-Manin explained that pneumonia, cough and running nose continue to infect children and adults in Nuba Mountains as consequence of respiratory infections.Mr El-Manin said children were mostly vulnerable to the respiratory infections.
He added that respiratory infections are caused by micro-organisms that develop in cold and dusty weather.
The clinical officer encouraged people to come to the hospital when they experienced respiratory problems.
