The Catholic Archbishop of Juba urged Christians to celebrate Easter by rising from their weaknesses.

Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro said Easter is an occasion for Christians to become new people overcoming hatred and death which he called the way of the cross.

Archbishop Lukudu said many people were tortured and killed in Juba.

He said Christians have to accept their sufferings, which were conquered by Jesus, and rise with Him.

Archbishop Lukudu said the 40 days of Lent prepared Christians to rise with Jesus from their own problems into a new life.
