Nile High and Yei Girls won on Friday the inter-secondary school tournament in Yei River County of Central Equatoria.
During the eagerly followed tournament played at Yei Freedom Square, Nile High boys defeated Yei Day one goal to zero in football, Radio Easter reported.Yei Girls overshadowed Yei Day 14 to 12 in netball.
Addressing players and hundreds of spectators at the end of the tournament, Central Equatoria State minister for Youth and Sports David Lokonga Moses said sports promote unity.
He urged the youth of South Sudan to embrace sports to stay away from troubles.
Mr Lokonga said sports brought people together without harm.
