The top ten students at the Basic School Leaving Exams in Western Equatoria after all were all from Nzara Comboni Primary School and not from Nzara 1 government school.
Rufina Mboriidie Raphael topped the table of the ten best students, scoring 354 points out of possible 400, Anisa FM reported. There were four girls among the top ten students.
Last week, Western Equatoria Education Minister Pia Phillip Michael announced that the ten best students all came from Nzara 1 Primary School.
The announcement left pupils and staff from Comboni Primary School upset and puzzled.
Anisa Radio tried to get a statement from the education authorities to rectify the announcement but it was told that the confusion was a minor typing error.
They added that the Minister read out what the Directorate for Exams prepared.
