The Deputy Head Teacher of Lower Kumo Model Primary School in Nuba Mountains appealed to the community to help teachers.

Chabu Omar Kuku expressed his worries about lack of teachers in the schools.

He said the shortage of teachers in various schools was because people were not willing to pay teachers.

Mr. Omar added his school has few teachers because of no support from the community.

He advised that although there were many crises in the region, people should not worry or give up.

Mr Omar called on the community to support teachers so that they can render education to children who are not able to move abroad for studies.

The Deputy Head teacher urged the community to struggle for the continuation of schools though they do not know when the war will end in the state.
