Lepers and blind people in Tonj South County of Warrap State on Saturday asked for help from the Government and the Church.

William Deng, suffering from leprosy, told Don Bosco FM that they have no food, shelter or clothing.

Mr Deng said the Catholic Mission is helping them with some food but they wanted the Government to work together with the mission to help them with their daily needs.

Achol Ngon Akol, another person with leprosy, said she wanted the government and the mission to work together and help them with food and housing because the rainy season is coming and they have no hands, legs and eyes to work for themselves.

Maria Awut said they needed blankets, mats and cooking utensils.

She urged the Church, Government and NGOS to help in various places because if nobody helps them they will die of hunger.

One blind man asked the Payam Administration to help them also with picks and hoes.

Akuot Lual, another person with leprosy, said they wanted support for their children to go to school.
