CENTRAL EQUATORIA ENDS SUDAN PRIMARY SCHOOL PROGRAM

The use of the old Sudan program for primary school education has ended in Central Equatoria.

Juba and Terekeka were the only remaining counties in Central Equatoria still using the old Arabic programme from Khartoum, Bakhita Radio reported.

State Education minister Scopas Jibi Dima told the press on Wednesday that from next year on all the pupils in Central Equatoria state sit for South Sudan Primary School leaving exam.

He said that all P1 to P8 schools will use the South Sudan syllabus.

Prof. Dima said pupils who failed in the 2013 examinations will repeat the class and sit for South Sudan exams.

The minister was speaking in Juba during the announcement of 2013 Basic School Leaving results for Juba and Terekeka.
