One female pastor in the Episcopal Church of the Sudan caused controversy because she decided to bury four bibles and samples of the holy communion and wine after a ten-day workshop organized by Flame International.

ECS Timbiro Vicar General Samuel Bororete told Anisa Radio that one of his pastors misunderstood the workshop and buried the bibles.

Rev Bororete added that according to the Church doctrine no church instruments should be buried.

He said he would consult with caretaker Bishop Justin Badi Arama on the issue.

Anisa Radio managed to meet the accused pastor but she refused to comment.

Pastor Manase Dagu, who was the translator during the workshop in the ECS diocese of Timbiro, said the organizers of the event never proposed the burial of a real Bible.
