Lakes State Caretaker Governor began on Monday full office administration after touring the State for one week.

State Minister of Information and government spokesperson Charles Badri Mayen told the press after the Council of Ministers that Matur Chut assured the Cabinet that he would work with all the organs of the government without discrimination, Good News Radio reported.

He said the new governor would only take action against officials who did not deliver adding that peace and unity were the priorities of the new administration.

Mr Badri said he was not sure whether there would be a by-election for the new governor as stated in the Transitional Constitution of South Sudan.

Although Lakes State has been calm after the January 18 inter-communal clashes, citizens are silently waiting to see how much of the tough talking the new governor can deliver.
