The Catholic Archdiocese of Juba on Saturday started reviewing the Transitional Constitution article by article to present suggestions before it is amended into the permanent Constitution.

Justice and Peace coordinator Angelo Lokoyome told Bakhita Radio that the review needed a lot of input from the public.

He said some articles needed more study before they were amended into the permanent Constitution.

He added that the archdiocese organised three groups of 20 people to analyse article by article and propose amendments.

Mr Lokoyome said it was very important to study the articles one by one not to miss anything important.

He added that it is important for people to understand the Constitution and participate in its review in order to own it.

He said the participants are members of community who will share their insights with others before the National Constitutional Conference takes place.

The findings will be presented to the Catholic Relief Services later this year.
