Yei River County proposed plan for 2013 is waiting approval from Central Equatoria State to start the demarcation of new areas and opening of roads.
Assistance Commissioner for Physical Infrastructure Michael Loke Seluwa told the press Monday that the county authorities plan to open 250 kilometres of roads to serve new demarcated areas in Yei town, Radio Easter reported.The county also plans to renovate five government buildings and lay some culverts in the town during 2013.
Mr Loke said equipment will be bought after consultation with NGOs in the county to help assess the plan.
He urged citizen to be patient and cooperative for the demarcation and roads projects to materialize.
Mr Loke lamented that the implementation of their plans is being affected by financial delays at state level.
