Fishermen in Tonj South County of Warrap State have complained that their fishing nets were being confiscated by fishery officers in collaboration with wildlife services.
Malok Akon Ð who heads the fishermen association Ð said the fishery officer confiscated their nets demanding more pay for fishing licenses, Radio Don Bosco reported.He complained many people collect money from the fishermen in the river, on the streets and in the market places.
Mr Akon added that fishermen are confused with these irregularities and they do not know how they will feed their families.
