The ECS Diocese of Lainya County in Central Equatoria is expecting more than 35,000 Christians from around the world for its five-day convention next month.

The chairman of the Organizing Committee Rev Elioba Loku Obede said the convention will kick off on February 6 and ends on 11, Easter Radio reported.

He added that this is the first time the ECS Diocese of Lainya County hosts such a huge convention.

Rev Loku said Christians in Lainya County are in high preparation as the day approaches.

He added that the convention will change the lives of Christians in Lainya and in South Sudan.

The Chairman of revival movement in Lainya County, Willison Wudu, called on Lainya people living outside to come and celebrate the event.

He said Christians were engaged in cleaning the compound and building houses to make more rooms for the guests.

The convention will be celebrated by a theme taken Hosea7: 1,2: “Whenever I want to heal my people of Israel and make them prosperous again all I can see is their wickedness and evil.”
