Father’s Cleft Ministry (FCM) Orphanage Primary School in Nuba Mountains is in good progress despite of the threat of war and hunger in the state.
The school started last year to help children without parents to access education.Head teacher Kocho Helon Moses said the school has a total of 320 pupils and seven teachers.
He explained that the school is supported by donors from America and they provide children with food and medical services.
Mr Helon said although the school is operational it lacks stationery materials.
He added that insecurity makes it difficult to bring in the school materials.
Mr Helon said pupils also need protection to study.
FCM Orphanage Primary School is the only institute in the Nuba Mountains under an NGO care. The majority of the schools lack teachers and resources to run.
