Young Christians Students (YCS) in the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba will on Friday celebrate Christmas Carol with orphans, sick, prisoners and street children.

Francis Friday, YCS Coordinator in the Archdiocese of Juba told Bakhita Radio that YCS members will celebrate Christmas Carol at Living Water Children’s Home, Juba Orphanage, Hospitals and Juba Central Prison.

He said the exercise is important because it continues to connect the sick, orphans, street children and prisoners with the wider society in the country.

Mr Francis said his team will share Christmas gifts with the disadvantaged groups, the sick and prisoners.

He called on the public to console the prisoners, sick, orphans and street children that their condition is not permanent.

Juba Catholic Archdiocesan YCS members annually collect some clothes, sandals, sweets, sugar and soap as Christmas gifts to the prisoners, sick, orphans and street children to join the celebration.
