South Sudan Chief Negotiator has blamed Khartoum for hesitating to implement the cooperation agreements to allow oil flow and trade between the two countries.
Pagan Amum told journalists at Juba International Airport after arrival from Addis Ababa on Wednesday that Khartoum government’s is blocking oil flow and trade resumption between the two countries. He said Sudan also does not want to open the borders for free movement of the people of the two states.
Mr Amum said the division within Sudan has made the government unsure of what to decide and that if the situation continues like that in Khartoum, there will be no breakthrough.
He added that South Sudan will have to develop its new alternative economy, new outlet to the sea and trade ties with neighbouring Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, and DR Congo.
