Western Bahr El Ghazal State government authorities have on Wednesday inaugurated Nationality, Passport and Immigration office in Wau.
Director-General National Directorate of Nationality and Passport Brigadier General Maduot Parek congratulated citizens of Wau on this achievement.He explained that his Directorate is mandated to register and maintain the data base of South Sudan.
Brig. Gen. Parek said issuing Nationality Certificate requires eligibility, regulations, evidence and recommendations from County, Payam and Boma authorities.
HeÊ explained that getting the documents means being identified as member of the community of South Sudan as responsibility, duty and rights.
Brig. Gen. Parek advised the nationals not to use the chance for getting South Sudanese documents to foreigners.
Ablino Othou Mariano, Acting State Police Commissioner, called for restriction on issuance of Nationality in order to prevent foreigners from getting South Sudanese Nationality.
