A local Journalist in Wau working for the Catholic Radio Network (CRN) denied story that she was detained and mishandled by security organs in Wau, Western Bahr El Ghazal State.
Margaret Achan Madut, who is also known as Achan Madut, presenter in Voice of Hope Radio of CRN, said the story published onÊ December 12th 2012 by Sudan Tribune website, entitled Western Bahr El Ghazal arrest a journalist was not true.Ms Achan said all information in the story was wrong because no journalist interviewed her and she did not give any information to a single journalist.
Ms Achan advised her colleagues to stick to the Journalistic code of conduct by verifying information before publication to avoid cases of defamation and libel.
The Sudan Tribune website used Achan Madut name on the story but her full name is Margaret Achan Madut.
