The United States of America is next week due to signed a deal that offers 230 million dollars for Agriculture in South Sudan through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The US special envoy to South Sudan and Sudan, Princeton Lyman announced on Friday during a meeting with President Kiir and SPLM negotiating team going forÊ talks in Addis Ababa.He said the money is intended to cover agriculture, infrastructure, education and technical assistance for capacity building in the Government.
Mr Lyman called on the Government to manage its resources careful.
Mr Lyman said the American Government wants to support the development in South Sudan, especially at this critical moment when South Sudan faces economic challenge.
Mr Lyman was speaking in Juba when he was on his way to Addis Ababa to attend the negotiations between South Sudan and Sudan over borders disputes.
