The office of Nationality, Passport and Migration has opened officially in Rumbek on Friday.
Addressing ceremony, the Director-General for Nationality, Passport and Migration Brigadier Augustine Maduot Parek described his presents in the opening of the office as blessing to the people of Lakes State.Brigadier Maduot acknowledged the right of having the national identification and passport because these documents show personal identification.
He explained that every citizen has right to posses these documents stipulated in the Transitional Constitution of South Sudan.
Brigadier Maduot said they are implementing the national Government policies of taking the services to the people.
He explained that the services are not ending in the State headquarter but would also be extended to Counties and Payams.
The launching was attended by government officials, all local the chiefs, religious leaders, youth, elderly people and the children.
