The Young Christian Students (YCS) in all the six Secondary Schools of Yei County have on Tuesday visited the sick in Yei Civil Hospital.
Celestino Atama Thomas the YCS Coordinator in Yei Secondary Schools said the aim of the tour was to offer some little gifts, spend time with the sick and perform some charitable work in the hospital.Mr Atama called on all the students to cooperate and join YCS in order to spread the word of God and develop together in supporting the community spiritually, morally and physically.
One of the patients who asked to remain anonymous expressed her happiness and appreciations to YCS for the counseling prayers and the few gifts presented.
She called upon God to bless and help the YCS members and those who have gone to see and spend time with the sick in the hospital.
Chaplain Yuga Emmanuel the clinical officer in Yei Anti-Retroviral drug centre said the visit was so encouraging especially to his office which cares for the vulnerable people.
Mr. Chaplain added that the counseling would boost people to go for the HIV/AIDS test while appealing to people to know their health status.
