A non uniformed soldier identified to be a captain of SPLA Air defends force on Thursday Morning threatened the staffs of Yei Payam in their offices.

Abubahrah Ismail the Deputy Director of Yei Town Payam told Radio Easter that a soldier walked into the office of the Director with a stick and a brick in his hands.

He added that when he inquired from the soldier why he entered the office with a stick and a brick immediately the man started beating him and some workmate rescued him.

Mr Ismail said the man threatened that he will come back with a gun to shoot the officials and this made the office work to come to a standstill.

Hillary Juma Yoseke, Yei Town Payam Administrator lamented that what happened was contrary to the legal system of the Government as soldiers are country defenders and protectors.

He advised that people need not to take the law into their hands but should follow proceedings of claiming for their rights peacefully rather than using violent means.

Mr. Juma revealed that the money the soldier was demanding from the Court after charging the rapist is 1800 South Sudanese Pounds.

The Administrator said that the Payam office will present a report to the County authority on the incident very soon and the situation is now calm.
